| OHCC LIVING | JUNE 2025 |27 Art Lovers e Art Lovers Club enjoyed a lovely trip to the ower elds in Carlsbad in April. In addition to being able to view the spectacular owers of rows and rows of very vibrant colored owers, we stepped into a world of color with the glass in ight sculpture exhibit. e sculpture exhibit was full of beautiful large glass sculptures of butteries, birds, and insects. ey also had a buttery cage where the butteries landed on our bodies and even our hats! Several of us were able to ride on their tractor/wagon that drove us around the entire ower elds! Immediately following the ower elds visit, we all had a delicious lunch at King's Fish House. And we are delighted to encourage you to stop in the Art Studio and enjoy the incredibly detailed display by the Papercraers! eir artistry, humor, and attention to texture and design will surely pique your curiosity! How do they do this!? Also, we have been so fortunate to feature the work of our resident artists in the changing art display at the Clubhouse front desk. For your viewing pleasure, we had "Lake Como" by Gary Warmuth; "Tucson Adobe" by Joyce Rice; and "Oceanside Pier" by Mike Layne. Each very dierent but highlighting their wonderful artistic talents! We thank Mike ornton for his help with the installation: securing the wiring of each piece, helping with the layout, focusing on the lighting, and supporting our project with his valuable opinions. A big thank you to Karin Barnes and Kerry Peyton for their help in gathering participants and installing the work. What a talented group of artists we have here in OHCC!
