34 | OHCC LIVING | JUNE 2025 | Woodchucks Is it summer yet? ough I'm writing this in early May, sunny skies remain elusive reminding us that the season doesn't always arrive on schedule. Yet Mother Nature may still surprise us as there is no longer any "normal" weather. Hopefully your spring cleaning has been accomplished, and you are looking forward to traveling or visits from your children/ grandchildren. is doesn't leave much free time; however, the Woodchucks encourage you to join our Toy Makers for the Annual Toy Drive supporting the children of Camp Pendleton. You don't have to be an accomplished woodworker to build or decorate a simple wooden toy for giing. All that is necessary is an hour or two per week. Supervision and/or inspiration is available without appointments at these days/times: Mondays and Fridays, 3 to 4 pm, and Tuesdays, 3 to 4:30 pm. As we continue to highlight the creativity and skill within our community, we're proud to showcase just a few of our members' handiwork below. We'd love to have you join us in the shop to make some sawdust and have fun creating! Sign-up forms are available at the Clubhouse desk, please stop by and get involved! We look forward to sharing more TT fun with all."
