| OHCC LIVING | JULY 2025 |25 Wow! We have had some terrific concerts this year. From the show stopping Texas Tenors in March to the wonderful John Denver tribute by Jim Curry in May. Nov. 8 will bring us yet another great show. Get ready for an unforgettable night of music, memories, and magic as Jay White brings the legendary Neil Diamond to life for a spectacular tribute performance. Whether you're a lifelong fan of "Sweet Caroline" or have just discovered the timeless charm of "America," this is a show you don't want to miss. For more than two decades, Jay White has been captivating audiences across the country with his uncanny resemblance — both in voice and appearance — to the one and only Neil Diamond. With meticulous attention to detail, Jay doesn't just perform the songs… he channels the heart, soul, and style of the original "Solitary Man." Having performed for millions, including a personal performance for Mr. Diamond himself, Jay White has earned the reputation as the premier Neil Diamond tribute artist in the world. His passion for the music and the man behind it shines through every note, from the tender emotion of "Hello Again" to the explosive energy of "Cracklin' Rosie." Save the date, Nov. 8, for this dynamic performance. Ticket Sales begin on Oct. 7 at 8:30 am in Abravanel Hall. Tickets are $30 each. Hope to see you there. Helping Hands Group The Genealogy Interest Group is a growing group of individuals who want to find out about their heritage and their ancestry. Curiosity about those who came before and formed us is important. The group provides tools to do your research and help in getting started. For the experience, we can offer suggestions to break through the brick walls of past generations. Meeting with others looking in the same geographical areas is a great help. We have a few Apple computers and PCs in the computer room. It is helpful if you want to bring your own laptop. We will meet for Help Sessions on Sat. July 12 and Fri., July 25. Newcomers are welcome. All sessions can be seen on the TAG calendar. We are happy to offer the World Explorer version of Ancestry.com free of charge in the computer room. This program would cost an individual over $100 a month. We also offer the Family Tree Maker on several of the computers in the lab. A family tree can be started and compiled with either or both of these programs with many hints to assist in your research. The coordinators are Dorothy Miller, Shirley Rock, and Peggy Singh.
