As I write this month's article, it is hard to believe that 20+ years of living in our wonderful community has f lown by so quickly. I wonder if the Founding Fathers of our country would say the same thing were any of them alive this 249 years later. They would certainly say, "things have changed a bit!" Yet it is through change that the human spirit grows stronger, endures challenge, and stands firm on the foundation of our Freedoms. As we come together in celebration this year on the Plaza, let us never forget the sacrifices of others in order that we have something to celebrate. Our joint quilt jacket project is coming to a close, showcasing these latest masterpieces. Cleta Colston accented her jacket by binding the pockets. Diane Best, our inspiration for this very fun project, created her jacket to be symmetrical. Diane, once owning her own successful quilt shop, has designed many jackets over the years and was happy to share her tricks of the trade with us! Janet Swindell fashioned her creation with a hood and had fun with curves. Well done ladies! Fill up the car with your favorite quilting buddies, and head out for some summer fun on the 2025 SoCal Quilter's Run. Running Thursday through Saturday, July 10-13 and 17-20, 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm visit Quiltersrun.com for more details and a list of participating quilt shops. Seasons Quilters meets every Thursday in the Arts & Crafts Room from 10 am to 4 pm breaking for lunch at the Bistro at 12:30 pm. In July we will meet the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st.
