| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2025 | 29 Golf Cart Club Parades: The wait is over! The Golf Cart Parade will be coming to a neighborhood close to you on the morning of the Fourth of July. The parade is always a lot of fun. A social half hour will be held from 8:30 to 9 am in the roundabout opposite The Lodge. A most excellent time to chat with your friends and neighbors. The parade takes about forty to 45 minutes. Whether you participate in the parade or cheer them along as they drive by your house, join in a bit of Americana. Flag Angels: The Flag Angels also have been terribly busy over the last two months. They posted flags at the end of May for Memorial Day, May 26 (throughout the community); Flag Day, June 14 (just Four Seasons and World Cup); Juneteenth, June 19 (throughout the community); and July 4th (throughout the community). That is a lot of flags! About a year ago, I started to highlight each of the "Flag Angels" in the Herald. I also pointed out a common characteristic that all Angels seem to share: the level of involvement in the community. As you know, many of the community activities are possible because of the residents' involvement, the perfect combination of a terrific Social Activities Director (Tracie Rodgers) and enthusiastic and involved residents. The Flag Angels are a perfect illustration of this phenomenon. They put up and take down a staggering 13,000 flags throughout the year (every residence and been remarkably busy Four Seasons and World Cup eight times a year and just World Cup and Four Seasons three times a year). And yet on many occasions, they are, or have also been, on the Board of Directors, on the Social Committee, on the Access Committee, on the Public Facilities Committee, President and multiple elected. Officers of the Golf Club… well, you get the idea, I would end up listing every 4 Seasons' committee and club. This month's Angel is Victoria Danner. She is a new Angel, just over a year. She and her partner Shirley Etemadfar (to be highlighted next month) jumped in from the substitute list with no hesitation and are doing a super job! You know of her from, among other activities, her terrific performances as part of the Four Seasons Players (four years as President), president of the Paws Club, member of Team Sunshine, and a regular participant in Vintage Voices. She has been a Hemet Four Seasons resident for 18 years, moving from Atlanta with her mom. She places flags throughout the east half of the Stehenson cul de sac streets. The next time you see Victoria, give her a well-deserved "thank you!" The Flag Angels ranks are constantly changing. We have lost a number of angels due to assorted reasons. I have been able to replace those angels because substitutes volunteered to take a route full time (Victoria for example). If anyone is interested in being a Flag Angel, I could still use a volunteer or two as substitutes. If you would be willing to help provide this very popular service, please call me (951) 973-4149, or email me at mikemcla43@aol.com).
