| OHCC LIVING | AUGUST 2025 | 39 Music Lovers As I write this, I'm reliving of the Fourth of July events we all enjoyed here at OHCC and want to thank the Recreation Department for serving up some great food and music for the attendees of the event. Loved it! Now, as we enjoy the month of August, we are having fabulous weather and enjoying the great outdoor venues located in our community. The pool, always popular this time of year, has been delightful and sunbathes in the morning hours on Mondays enjoy the great music drifting over the water as our Coffee House Monday players entertain everyone on the Palm Court. We had a great Villagers Concert back in late June and finally got a decent picture of the band. Above are Mike Cea, Me, Harvey Bernstein and our fabulous subs, Lawrence Aiken on Bass and Keith Thompson on Congas and percussion. Thanks guys! Our July potluck was a hit as we indulged in the summer cuisine of our members while enjoying music played by our club musicians. What a great evening on the Palm Court. This month we have another great summer event planned exclusively for our members as we are preparing for our catered Summer Bash on Aug. 20. Tickets are still available at $15 each supplemented by the club. DJ Alex will provide entertainment for our enjoyment as we enjoy another music and dancing event under the stars on the Palm Court. Of course, our biggest event of the year is just over that sunny horizon! Our Musical Variety Show dates are Sept. 5 and 6 and if you haven't gotten your tickets yet, you had better hurry and get them. They're still available at the Concierge Desk on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays during the first two weeks in August. After that you can still purchase them at the front desk! We hope you have a fabulous August, the height of summer fun, and look forward to playing and bringing more music to all of you in the months ahead! For now, I'm wishing our club members who are celebrating August Birthdays a very happy day as time does what it does, and we all get older and wiser!
