This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Valley-Wide
Recreation and Parks District competition for all seniors 50
years and older. You'll find flyers and sign-up sheets in the lobby
across from the gym. There are so many fun competitions
to take part in. Events include bench press, Bingo, billiards,
bowling, cribbage, horseshoes, golf, hand and foot, pickleball,
Pinochle, Scrabble, shuffleboard, tournament blackjack,
swimming, table tennis, Texas Hold'em, and track and field.
Please pick up a flyer to get the full details. Note: This is not
a Lifestyle Event and so the Management does not have details,
nor can you sign up at SDV. If you don't see a flyer, call the
Parks and Recs District at (951) 927-6673 or stop in at 901 W.
Esplanade Ave in San Jacinto to sign up and pick up your free
t-shirt for participating.
To wrap it all up, there will be an awards banquet on Tuesday,
Oct. 7. Winners who place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all receive medals.
