WELCOME BACK! After being dark for the months of July and
August, our upcoming meeting will be held on Thursday, Sept. 11
at 10 am. Hope to see you there!
As summer fades into fall, September is a month rich in
meaning, offering moments to reflect on our nation's values,
sacrifices, and freedoms.
Labor Day – Sept. 1: More than the unofficial end of summer,
Labor Day honors the American workforce and the contributions
of everyday workers who keep our country strong. Whether
through parades, picnics, or rest, we salute the hands that keep
America moving.
Patriot Day – Sept. 11: Plus SDV Veterans and Friends Sizzler
Bash for Cash Fundraiser – A solemn day of remembrance for
the victims of the 9/11 attacks. We honor the bravery of first
responders and the unity of a nation that stood together in the
face of tragedy.
Constitution Day & Citizenship Day – Sept. 17: Celebrating
the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787, and
recognizing all American citizens.
National POW/MIA Recognition Day – Sept. 19: A tribute to
our prisoners of war and those missing in action. We honor their
courage and reaffirm our promise: You are not forgotten.
September is more than back-to-school season or the return
of football. Let us take this month to pause, remember, and
recommit to the ideals that unite us.
