| OHCC LIVING | SEPTEMBER 2025 | 33 Music Lovers This summer is flying by! Maybe it's because our club has been so busy preparing for our Variety Show this month. Do you have tickets to the show yet? If not, you need to drop off a check at the Front Desk and we will get you your tickets! Show tickets are $15 each. We want to fill the remaining seats with all our friends and supporters. Tickets will also be sold at the door for those of you who don't know yet if you'll be in town on Sept. 5 and 6. Friday's show is at 6:30 pm; with doors opening at 5:45 pm. Saturday's matinee show begins at 2 pm with doors opening at 1:15 pm. We're looking forward to seeing you in our audience! Our Club has had a fabulous summer. On Aug. 20 we had our Summer Breeze Bash on the Palm Court, enjoying a delicious catered meal from Sessions and dancing to the great music selections by DJ Alex. Thanks to all who participated. Our Coffee House Mondays from 10 am to noon, have been well attended on the Palm Court too. We're so happy when you are able to join us for coffee, treats and music each week. This month we will be having our nominating committee work to complete our slate of officers for 2026. We'll be voting our new club officers in during our October event which combines our last Villagers Concert of the year with a members-only cocktail hour scheduled before the concert. As some of you are aware, I'm stepping down as president of the club at the end of the year and will become President Emeritus at our Board meetings. I'm staying on to help advise our new president and will continue planning our Villagers Concerts and writing our monthly articles. Mike will continue as Music Director. Now we only need our members to search their hearts and come forward to keep our club vibrant and successful in 2026. Other positions, besides President, that need to be filled are Club Secretary, Club Social Director, Club Website Coordinator, And Club Program Director. It took three years to work out the bugs, but we now have a club that's a well-oiled machine and has a lineup of our best-ever events next year. In August, I finished the plans and submitted the request forms for the Music Lovers Club in 2026. We are all set for our 4th year of marvelous musical and social events! All we need are a few new leaders to help our continuing Board members turn our plans into reality! I thank you all in advance for stepping up to lead our 260 + members into a successful 2026.
