14 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | OCTOBER 2025 | The Restaurant & Lounge Advisory Committee consists of volunteer residents with diverse skills and business backgrounds. Together, we research, collaborate, and brainstorm. Our focus is always to make our restaurants, Lounge, and Veranda food and service deliciously enjoyable for everyone while increasing revenue. We are proud to have our Cordon Bleu Graduate, Executive Chef La La, who has joined our SLCC family. La La was personal chef to Queen Latifah and Faith Evans, and her passion and creativity shine in every presentation. I am pleased to say that this month, I have received many more positive comments than negative from our community. Giving thanks to CCL and Chef La La. Yippee! We welcome and look forward to your comments and opinions. Whether good or bad, if we don't know about something, we can't fix it. Our celebrity chef event with the incredibly talented Chef Jet Tila was a huge success. Everyone enjoyed learning from and tasting his special dishes. Based on the enjoyment and feedback from attendees, we look forward to more events like this. These special events sell out quickly, so pay attention and purchase your tickets early. BOO! Can you believe it's Halloween month already? Sheesh! Time is flying, or was that a neighbor's broom going by? We will kick off Oct. 1-5 with our special Oktoberfest, featuring a German menu that's always delicious, including German Paulaner bottles and Sam Adams on draft all month long. On Oct. 7, join us for "TACO" Tuesday and Angels' legendary margaritas. On Oct. 14, for National Dessert Day, you won't want to miss the variety of sweet treats. On Oct. 26, it's all about PUMPKIN! And on Oct. 31, you're all familiar with our spectacular Halloween parties — always fun — and this year, Chef La La has prepared some tempting, ghoulish, and delicious menu specials. Try one of Angels' creative Bewitching Martinis or the Blood and Sand Manhattan, a Vampire Kiss, or a spooky Wolf Bite. Creepy-sounding but fun and tasty. Of course, we will continue the very popular Prime Rib Thursday dinner special all month long. Happy Hour runs Tuesday through Thursday, and of course, we have live music Wednesdays in the Lounge from 4 to 7 pm. Call for reservations at (951) 769-6654.
