FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2025 67 October marks the final month of the water volleyball summer session. Starting Nov. 1, we move indoors full-time on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm at The Summit. Until then, we continue playing outdoors at The Courts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 am to 12 pm; and at The Summit on Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm for beginner play. On Sept. 19, the club held its annual "end-of-summer" pool party and tournament, which coincided with the Senior Olympics. Food and beverages were provided by the club, and everyone had a great time. The winning teams will be awarded their medals at the upcoming medal ceremony. Look for Water Volleyball's decorated golf carts and pickup truck in the upcoming Community Parade on Oct. 4. This promises to be a fun event for the entire community. Water volleyball is a great way to get out of the house for some low-impact exercise. Everyone is welcome. You don't need to be a club member to play, and all ages, heights, and skill levels are encouraged to participate! Watch for an email alert when we decide to make this change. In the meantime, we will continue to play at 8 am until further notice. A great way to start your day is to come out and join our group for some shuff leboard. Get some fresh air, exercise, and socialization. We play at the courts at The Lodge behind the swimming pool and next to the paddle tennis courts. We enjoy our own quiet, partly- shaded area for playing. Shuff leboard is an easy game to learn, and almost anyone can quickly become proficient. Our games typically last about an hour, and we randomly select teams each time we play. This keeps the competition challenging and the games interesting. We have no losers, only non-winners. We have a wonderful group of residents who play regularly, but we are always eager for new players. If you're interested in joining a fun activity with friendly residents, please come by on a Monday and/or Saturday morning a little before 8 am. We will introduce you to shuff leboard if you've never played or give you a refresher if needed. In September, we held our Four Seasons Senior Olympics competition. I will share the winners of this event in the next issue of the Breeze. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. Otherwise, I hope to see you at the shuff leboard courts. ~ Marty Rotman, (310) 948-1693, mrtmj@aol.com Shuffleboard Come check out our fun group!
