FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2025 69 For our more competitive players, the next announcement for the winners of the 2025 Summer quarter — July, August, and September — will be in October and will appear in the November 2025 Breeze. While we enjoy competition, we also offer relaxing sets where the goal is simply playing the game, win or lose. Our club actively encourages more players, both experienced and novice, to come out and join us on Wednesday and Friday evenings. We offer joyful, fun-filled sessions where players test their wits and gaming styles while attempting to "domino" — or play their last bone before other players can do so. There's soulful background music and often goodies to munch on. So, come on out and join us for a lively evening of "slamming bones." The Dominoes Club plays every Wednesday and Friday from 6 until 9 pm in the Game Room. Novice players are welcome to come from 5 to 6 pm on Wednesday and Friday to learn the game. For more information, contact Reggie at (951) 743-3594 or Jesse at (714) 474-1365. ~ Roxanne Williams Dominoes Join us for an afternoon of friendship and fun while playing a game of Hand and Foot Canasta. We meet on Thursdays from 12:45 to 4 pm in the RCN Main Room. Table assignments are distributed at 12:45 pm. Each week you may play with someone different, giving you an opportunity to meet new friends and/or to visit with existing friends. We supply the cards, so just bring yourself and a desire to have fun. If you don't know how to play, we are always happy to set up a teaching table — by the end of the afternoon you will have mastered the game. Join us. ~ Pam Morales, pamelamorales26@gmail.com Canasta Hearts We play Hearts every Tuesday at 6 pm in The Lodge Game Room. We welcome new players. If you don't know how to play, we'll be happy to teach you. Seating is done by random card draw. Try your luck at getting all the hearts plus the queen of spades. That takes 26 points off of your score, or, if you choose, adds 26 points to all the other players at the table. The jack of diamonds takes 10 points off of your score. The lowest score wins. It is lots of fun and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday evenings. Bill and Zaheerah Clarke I invite more people to come out and play Bid Whist. Paper f lyers are available at The Lodge, and our electronic f lyer can be viewed on the E-boards throughout the facilities and online in the Activities Blast. I strongly encourage new players to join us. We will teach you how to play. Bid Whist is a variation of the original game of Whist, involving trick-taking, strategy, card counting, and careful communication with a partner. It is similar in game play to Bridge and Spades. Whether you're new to the game or an experienced player, I invite you to come and play! Win or lose, you'll have a lot of fun and meet great folks while enjoying Bid Whist. The Co-Ed Bid Whist club meets on Tuesdays from 6 to 8:30 pm in the RCN Building, Activity Room #3. We look forward to seeing you at the tables! For more information, contact Frank Turner at (562) 922-9737. ~ Frank Turner Co-ed Bid Whist e Dominoes and Co-Ed Bid Whist Groups lost a good friend and player, Bill Clarke. Bill passed away suddenly in mid-August. We will surely miss his wit, smile, and skill in 'stacking his bones' playing dominoes and talent at playing bid whist. To our Muslim friend Bill and his wife Zaheerah, from his non-Muslim friends, may God continue to bless you, your family, and loved ones.
