50 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2025 | Wine Club Cheers! What a fantastic time nearly 100 of our members enjoyed in September. Your dedicated and talented Wine Club committee prepared a BBQ feast featuring smoked pulled pork, BBQ tri-tip steak, and slow-smoked baby back ribs, along with homemade cole slaw, baked beans, and banana pudding. Of course, there were six bottles of wine per table of eight, all selected from wineries located in Central California and the Central Coast. Attention Wine Club Members (and those interested in joining): Mark your calendars and submit your checks for Thurs., Nov. 20, beginning at 6 pm when we will host our next event in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. The theme is: REDS, WHITES, AND JAZZ! This event promises to be unforgettable. We have invited a Wine Expert to pair four different wines with a four-course sit-down meal, custom designed and prepared by our own Executive Chef Lala and her team. If you like these wines, you will be able to purchase them onsite at the event. The menu is exceptional … a starter salad of butter lettuce, red romaine, sliced apples wrapped in a cucumber slice with a fanned strawberry and a lemon verbena vinaigrette; a limoncello f lute palate cleanser; lobster tail, seared scallops, ribeye steak medallions served with madeira sauce, truff led garlic- buttered parsnips, baby carrots, and tomato relish. Dessert will be black forest cake. To make the evening even more memorable, saxophonist Walle Larsson will serenade us once again. There will also be some surprises. You don't want to miss this! You get all of this for a very reasonable price of $75 per person — which includes your membership dues for 2026! Drop off your checks (along with any new member applications) at the Wine Club mailbox on the front porch at 4883 Copper Creek Drive. If you want to sit with friends, be sure to have all your checks together in one envelope. The deadline is Mon., Nov. 10.
