FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2025 63 Ladies Putters The Ladies Putting Group held their Second Annual Oldylmpics Tournament in mid September. The weather was cool which was a wonderful relief from the high 90s we had been experiencing for the previous several months. We had 13 participants and we were thrilled that four men decided to join us this time. The winners were: Lowest Total Score for (4) 9-Hole Rounds: 1st - Phyllis Kates: 73; 2nd - James Chappel: 81; 3rd - Pat Whalen: 82 Most Total Hole-In-Ones: 1st - Phyllis Kates: 5 (Tiebreaker); 2nd - Pat Whalen: 5; 3rd - James Chappel: 2 Closest To The Pin (without going in): 1st - Phyllis Kates - 10"; 2nd - Jolene Cooley: 17.5"; 3rd - Jackie Morris: 37" Now that our Oldlympics event is over we hope to see more ladies coming out and giving our Ladies Putting Group a try. This is a low-impact, "high fun and very social" activity and the best part is that no experience is necessary. We have extra putters and balls if you'd like to join us. Our 9-hole putting green is located at The Courts, behind the pool area. Our putting days/times are Mondays at 4 pm and Fridays at 9 am. For more information, please contact Elaine Brown at (626) 589-9791 or Phyllis Kates at (909) 227-0037. ~ Phyllis Kates I'm back! I guess most of you that read this fishing article probably thought I had passed away. I had so many things going on in my life that fishing took a back seat. Finally I can get back to what I love … FISHING. Last month, I went fishing a couple of times at Diamond Valley Lake in Hemet with my fishing buddies from Four Seasons. One time we went with a fishing guide who caught all the fish. He told Jessie and I that we did not know how to fish. We will never go fishing with him again. Another trip I went with Jessie and Eddie. I took a picture of them with the fish they caught. If you haven't guessed by now, I confess I haven't caught any fish the times I've gone fishing. I was able to net a huge Striper that my friend Mike caught (photo at right). That is yours truly holding the striper. I plan on going fishing more often in the coming months. If I go a bunch of times, I may get lucky and catch at least one fish. Remember, you don't have to catch fish to have fun. Tight lines to all my fishing friends and remember find time to go fishing. Have a great time fishing with your friends. You will be glad you did. ~ Richard Carrasco, ricarrasco52@gmail.com Fishing Group Me holding a big Striper my friend Mike caught at Diamond Valley Lake.
