It was a joyous occasion when the U.S. Post Office gave The Colony our beloved mailbox back for all you Colonites to put your outgoing mail in. It's in the parking lot in its usual spot. Mail collection times are Monday through Saturday at 10 am. Thank you, Kimberly Evans, for going to bat for the residents! A Suggestion Box is in the Clubhouse Lobby for residents who have suggestions or ideas for improvements you'd like the Board to consider. These suggestions are collected on a weekly basis by HOA staff and submitted to the Board of Directors for their review and consideration. It is very important for you to put your first and last name if you are asking a question, seeking assistance, or requesting clarification, so that you may be contacted with a response. 4 | THE COLONY NEWS | DECEMBER 2025 | GENERAL BOARD MEETING HIGHLIGHTS: OCTOBER 16, 2025 Highlights are a condensed dra of the Open Session minutes. Aer review and approval by the Board at the next meeting, the minutes will become ocial. Changes to the dra minutes may occur. A complete copy of the approved minutes is available in the HOA Oce. Majestic Asset Management: President Stevens announced that the Writ of Sale of Real Property was signed on Oct. 10 by the Court Clerk, and will now be sent to the Sheriff to set a foreclosure date. October 2025 Golf Course Subsidizing Request: The Board approved the October 2025 subsidy of the golf course in the amount of $47,895. These funds support the operation and maintenance of the golf course related to irrigation supplies, tree trimming, insurance, and mower repairs. Treasurer's Report: The Board approved the unaudited Treasurer's Report for August 2025. As of August 2025, Total Operating, Reserve Liabilities, and Equity were $6,257,000. Billiard Tables Resurfacing: The Board approved the billiard table resurfacing at a cost of $2,533.01. Proposed Rule 5.8.3 Leashes: The Board tabled the proposed rule and returned it to the Rules and Regulations Committee for further evaluation. 4.1.1 Vehicle Registration Rule Clarification: Director Ross informed residents that Rule 4.1.1 will be modified to clarify language associated with vehicle registration requirements in the Colony: All vehicles permanently housed within The Colony shall be registered with the Homeowners Association. Office. Each such registered vehicle shall be issued a new decal with an identification number every odd-numbered year. A different color decal will be used with each new issue. This decal shall be installed on the inside of the vehicle's front windshield in the lower left corner. A copy of a current permanent vehicle registration or a new vehicle dealer registration indicating that the vehicle is owned by the resident is required to obtain a new decal and transponder. In addition, residents are required to update their vehicle registration address to reect their Colony address. They Decals and transponders are not to be purchased for or transferred to family, friends, or service providers. Community Conversation (formerly Meet A Director): President Stevens informed the membership that the Board has revamped the former Meet a Director program. The educational and communications program will now be called Community Conversation. The meetings will take place on the second Wednesday of each month at 5 pm and will feature different educational topics, guest speakers, and a Q&A session. HOA Office Copier Lease Extension: The Board approved extending the HOA Office copier lease with CBE at a cost of $948 per month for 36 months. Reserve Study Update (Level 2 – Site Visit with Photos): The Board approved Advanced Reserve Solutions to perform a Level 2 Reserve Study that includes a site visit with photos at a cost of $6,175.
