Your Board is taking off the month of December, gearing up for
the new year and all of its activities. Your Board racked up many
hours providing you with entertainment that is creative, funny, fun,
meaningful, unusual, exciting, educational and thought-provoking.
We'll shortly be asking new residents to join us – perhaps, even
those with musical talents.
Our sides are still aching after the Mockingbird Improv's
performance. What do you think: Should we invite
them back? We think the only possible answer is
"yes."
We held our annual meeting Nov. 3 and voted in
our Board of Directors. Welcome back Jean Hef ler,
President, Lois Powazek, Vice-President, Phyllis
Buvel, Treasurer, and Naomi B Katz, Secretary.
Here's toasting another successful year under your
leadership.
Upcoming events:
Ron, the Elvis Impersonator, is set to bring us
back to our youth on Jan. 6, at 7 pm. We're setting
up cabaret seating – and a dance f loor -- for your
evening's enjoyment, so bring your dancing shoes, and a little
something to nosh and sip! This performance is free to members
and $10 for non-members. If you pay $15 for annual membership,
all shows in 2025 and 2026 are included! Doors open at 6:30 pm.
All members are welcome to join the Theatre Arts Wednesday
classes, which meet from 1 to 3 pm on the second and fourth
Wednesday of the month. Actors' Workshop is led by Charmayne
Huntley (CharmayneHuntley@gmail.com), and Playreaders is led
by Anita Simons (ASimonSays@gmail.com). Please check your
emails each month for dates, topics and room assignments.
Our next regular Board meeting will be held Dec. 17, at 11 am, in
a room to be assigned. Regular Board meetings are held the third
Wednesday of the month at 11 am, and are open to
all Theatre Arts members, so please do come and
join us.
Join Theatre Arts so you can participate in all of
our entertainment and activities in 2025 and 2026.
Currently, our annual dues are $15. With that small
amount, you will enjoy all membership privileges.
