AHCC was honored to participate in the Health Matters Watch Party, held at the home of Member, Connie King. This gathering created an important space for seniors to come together, listen, and be heard about issues that affect their health, housing, and overall quality of life. We were excited to participate since part of our mission is rooted in ensuring that seniors have access to trusted information, supportive networks, and a voice in shaping solutions that impact their daily lives. The discussion that followed the forum was heartfelt and deeply engaging. Attendees shared personal stories and voiced several concerns that reflect the realities many older Californians face today, including: • Difficulty finding affordable healthcare, medications, and dental coverage. • Concerns about rising living costs and the need for higher Social Security benefits. • A shortage of affordable, safe senior housing. • Limited transportation options for medical and social needs. • A strong desire for representation, accountability, and voting access. Seniors agreed that true health goes beyond medical care — it includes stability, dignity, and connection within their communities New Year, New Fresh Look! To bring in the New Year, we're excited to host The Sapp Team as they break down how Reverse Mortgages (HECMs) can help homeowners 62+ stay in their homes, gain financial f lexibility, and even afford in-home care.
