FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2026 63 Ladies Putters Even though the cold weather of December kept the lady putters from getting out and playing, that didn't deter them from celebrating the end of the year with their annual Holiday Party and Putting Awards. Almost every one in our group received some type of award or door prize. Our new season started Jan. 5; if there are any gals out there who would like a little challenge in their lives, we invite you to join us and give the Ladies Putting Group a try. This is a low-impact, "high fun and very social" activity and the best part is that no experience is necessary. We have extra putters and balls if you'd like to join us. Our nine-hole putting green is located at The Courts, behind the pool area. Our putting days/times are Mondays at 4 pm and Fridays at 9 am. For more information, please contact Elaine Brown at (626) 589- 9791 or Phyllis Kates at (909) 227-0037. ~ Phyllis Kates Even though the cold weather of December kept the lady putters from getting out and playing, that didn't Group a try. This is a low-impact, "high fun and very social" activity and the best part is that no experience I trust everyone had a great new year. I went fishing on the third day of January and I will tell you a little bit about that adventure. My son called me and said he wanted me to take him fishing. Some of my best fishing trips were when I took my boys fishing. I told him that I would love to take him fishing. I picked him up at his house and we went to Lake Cawhilla in the Coachella Valley. When we got there, the lake was teeming with people fishing. The lake was stocked and apparently all the fishermen in the valley got the memo. We were lucky to find a place to park and fish. We fished for four hours and my son finally caught a trout. I took a picture of the first fish he caught this year. I relived a bunch of memories on this trip. It made me realize how blessed I am to live such a good life. I plan to fish as much as possible this year. I will invite people fishing who I have not seen in years. Old fishing friends are the best friends in the world. I have not caught a fish yet on my new rod and reel … but it's only a matter of time. I wish the best fishing season for the new year. Tight lines to all my fishing friends and remember, memories are made by taking time out to go fishing. ~ Richard Carrasco, ricarrasco52@gmail.com Fishing Group e Ladies Putting Group celebrated the end of 2025 with a fun holiday potluck and award presentation.
