FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2026 53 Quilting Enthusiasts Welcome to 2026! Wait, 2026 came a month ago, already! Where has the time gone? It's time to get ready to celebrate Valentine's Day. This year we have quite a bit planned. Our next meeting will be Feb. 12 at 1 pm in the Game Room. The following week, Feb. 19, will be our first free class, Making Baskets by Machine. Salpy, one of our members, is going to teach us, and anyone who wants to join us for a free basket class is more than welcome to come learn. The basket will not be very big. The "cording/rope" fabric will be provided. A supply list will be available the first of February. You will need to bring your sewing machine and basic sewing supplies, a number 110/16 (jeans needle), and 50 weight cotton thread. One does not have to be a club member to take this class. Please join us. Our email is 4seasonsquilters@gmail.com, or call (808) 430-7469 (Mary's phone number). I sincerely hope you can join us for a fun time. Classes are 10 am to 2 pm, and maybe even earlier. Keep your eyes open for the 2026 Raff le Quilt. We plan on displaying the quilt in The Lodge Lobby a few times throughout the next seven months. Tickets will be available at that time. Hours and dates to come later. It's a beautiful quilt! Any and all money from the sale of tickets is being used for supplies that are used to make quilts of various sizes for various charities in our area. Finally, a heart felt THANK YOU goes to all of our club members for continued support of the Quilting Enthusiasts Quilt Club. 2026 is going to be an awesome year. ~ Mary M. Moody-Cox, (808) 430- 7469, 4seasonsquilters@gmail.com Craft Group Love is in the air this February, and we have some projects that can help get your love flowing. Did you know that research shows creating things is truly beneficial for us? Studies have found that creative activities like crafting can help reduce stress, improve mood, increase focus, and even give a sense of meaning and achievement. Here's where many of us get stuck: we have an idea, buy supplies, and then stop there. Consider joining our class for support in finishing your project. We meet every Thursday at 10 am in The Lodge Craft Room. If you have any questions, contact Christi Mason at (951) 486- 1091. ~ Christi Mason A stack of baskets waiting to be nished is is about the size we are going to make. It isn't very big, as indicated by the nger. Here is a beautiful example of a nished basket with an insert in it. Some fun projects to celebrate Valentine's Day
