52 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2026 Create something sustainable with love this month! When you think of February, Valentine's Day, the day of love, comes to mind, right? Why not show yourself or someone else some love by creating a unique, reusable, sustainable, and healthy handmade item? This month, we will be making heart soap for the body and sustainable, reusable canvas bags. Each project is designed to support your well- being while helping you craft something beautiful and meaningful. Crafting is more than a hobby — it's a powerful form of self-care. When you work with your hands, you tap into creativity, release stress, and nourish your whole self. Healthy Crafting is thoughtfully designed to refresh your mind, lift your spirit, and spark inspiration long after class is over. Whether you love making jewelry, painting mandala rocks, or trying something new, this class is for everyone. No experience is needed. All supplies and step-by-step instructions are included — just bring your excitement (and maybe a friend!). Please join our warm, welcoming community. You'll connect with others who appreciate handmade, eco- friendly projects, share ideas, learn new techniques, and leave with something you created with intention and joy. So, why not take a break from your usual routine? Relax, get creative, and make something you'll truly love, for yourself or as a gift. Join us for Healthy Crafting Classes and experience the joy of mindful creation! Classes are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month, from 1 to 3 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. ~ Barbara Toyama Healthy Crafting TOPS is an acronym for the phrase "Take Off Pounds Sensibly." At TOPS (which meets weekly on Tuesdays at 8:30 am), we discuss many different kinds of topics that affect our health and how we can improve it sensibly. For instance, last month we read an article titled "The Power of Antioxidants." One physician stated, "Antioxidants are the antidote to free radicals from the environment that can cause damage to cells — and accelerate the aging process — which raises your risk of various diseases." As a group, we learned which fruits, vegetables, and grains are bursting with antioxidants. We also learned how to maximize the antioxidant effect, how quickly we need to eat these sources of antioxidants, how we should cook them, etc. Valuable information, right? Some meetings are dedicated to engaging in some physical activity led by exercise professionals on video. These exercises promote physical activity at home, gym, or just outside. We get inspired when we have four-week contests to lose weight. And each week, we weigh in to see how we did in terms of pounds. Whether we lost, gained, or stayed the same, we support each other which is the backbone of our club/chapter. Feel free to give us a try! ~ Kathy Monishi, kathymoni@hotmail.com TOPS
