22 | LIFE IN SOLERA | FEBRUARY 2026 | AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE CLUB The AACC is back and bursting with excitement for 2026! Last year was a fantastic adventure with meeting neighbors, forming new friendships, and creating unforgettable memories together. This year, we're focused on creating even more exciting events that honor our culture and spread joy throughout our Solera family. Together, let's create some magic. We're starting the year with a cozy movie day. To escape the winter chill, join us in Oakmont Rooms 1, 2, and 3. The fun doesn't stop there … We're wrapping up Black History Month with a rootin'-tootin' Western-themed "Boots on the Ground" day. The day will begin with mimosas, appetizers and Paint & Sip party, then saddle up for a lively western-themed game night potluck party, complete with dancing and music by DJ Hawk. And that's just the beginning! We have additional movie nights planned throughout the year — we'll even take the screenings outdoors during the warmer months. We will also bring back our popular costume/murder mystery party in the fall, along with many more surprises. Keep an eye out for announcements throughout the year. In the meantime, for tickets or information on the following February events, please reach out to Gwen Hill at aacc.solera@gmail.com. • Feb. 7, 6 pm, Movie Night: Free event open to all residents and guests; Hot dogs and popcorn provided by AACC; bring your own drinks and snacks; Seating limited to 120; PJs optional - clothing required • Western Themed Paint & Sip Party: $40 • Western-themed "Boots on the Ground" Game Day and Dancing Potluck Party: Free Don't forget to mark your calendars and prepare to join your Solera family for another year filled with fun and memorable experiences. We meet in the Arts & Crafts Room on the third Tuesday of every month at 6 pm. e History of the Reformation The Reformation, also known as the Protestant Reformation was a time of major theological movement in Western Christianity in 16th-century Europe. It posed a religious and political challenge to the Papacy and the authority of the Catholic Church hierarchy. It marked the beginning of Protestantism. It is considered one of the events that signified the end of the Middle Ages and the beginning of the early modern period in Europe. The Reformation is usually dated from Martin Luther's publication of the 95 Theses, in 1517, that challenged the authority of the Catholic Church. Marty Mangan will present this two-part subject at the meeting of the History Group on Mon., Feb. 9 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, in Oakmont Room #1. Part 2 will be presented at the History Group's April 13 meeting. The History Group meets the second Monday of each month, 4:30 to 5:30 pm. HISTORY GROUP Martin Luther in His Study
