Your next chance to enjoy this talented group will be the first weekend in March, when they take the stage with at's Entertainment. The dancers will perform "Nohili E," a heartfelt love song that honors both a beloved person and the land of Kaua'i, weaving romantic affection together with the natural beauty of Nohili, Polihale, and the surrounding coastline. Anyone interested in learning Hawaiian hula dancing is welcome to join the Makula Hula Dancers every Wednesday from 10 am to 12 pm in the North Clubhouse. No previous dance experience is necessary. If you are interested in having the Makula Hula Dancers perform for your event or would like more information, contact Perla Williams at (951) 467-8339 or pearlyshellsdancer@gmail.com. Makua Hula Hawaiian Dancers Country Western Dance Hello dancers! Our line dance lessons have been well-attended. During each lesson, we review the dances we learned in previous sessions, and learn one or two new dances. Our teacher has many years of experience teaching seniors and is happy to modify steps for members with physical issues. Line dance provides a good workout for body and mind. Experienced line dancers and quick learners are welcome to join the club anytime during the year. Beginners should wait until classes restart in the fall. Dues are $20 per year and there is a fee of $3 per class. For more information on the club, contact Judy Kirstein at (801) 580-2232 or Lisa Flower at (310) 993-5027.
