| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2026 | 59 Our annual Christmas party was a hit. Everyone had a good time, the food was delicious, and the Easy Rider Band was a hit with everyone. Our Toy Drive was also a big success with numerous toys donated by the RV Club and then delivered to the Fire Department by Barbara Reed. Many boys and girls had a special Christmas with these toys. Thank you to everyone for donating. The Rally to Coachella Lakes Resort is rapidly approaching. The dates are Feb. 22- 27. Call (442) 325-9292, ext. 1. Make sure you let them know you are part of the Sun Lakes RV Club. The cost is $80 per night including taxes/fees. The annual outing to Yuma, March 23-29, with some folks staying just the week, two weeks, and even some staying the month. This is a non-sanctioned rally, so you need to make your own reservations. We do everything as a group, which includes sightseeing, games, trips to Mexico, and yes, even a round of golf. Our April 16-19 Rally is to Golden Village Palms in Hemet. Call (866) 991-3941 and ask for Juan. It's $89 per night including taxes and fees. April 19-21 is $70 per night including taxes/fees. Make your reservations and make sure you let them know you are with the Sun Lakes RV Club. There will be a vintage trailer and classic car show with vendors and food trucks to purchase from. Karaoke, two nights of music featuring tribute bands, and on Sunday, breakfast will be provided by the park. I'm sure you've heard that there have been a number of RVs damaged by people trying to break into them. Some have just sustained damage, and some have had items stolen. It is highly recommended that you go by your rigs every once in a while to make sure your RV is okay. If you find an issue, please contact security at once. We wish you the best on your birthday. Remember birthday cake is non- fattening. RV Club WWW (Water Weights Workout) Come join us this month at the South Clubhouse indoor pool. We meet Monday through Friday from 4 to 5:30 pm. Our workout is fun and so are our members! We tone our bodies and strengthen our cardiovascular system as well. Our classes are led by volunteers and the class is free, just bring your workout weights. Hope to see you soon.
