24 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MARCH 2026 | Needle Me Now that we are seniors, it's even more important to keep our minds and bodies active. Hobbies are a great way to do just that. Take a look through your Hemet Herald magazine, and you can find many different hobbies available to participate in. Learn something new or renew interest in something you haven't done in a while. 'Granny Hobbies', such as knitting and crocheting, are very relaxing and can also be rewarding. You can create many beautiful items for yourself and family members, or perhaps something to donate to a worthy cause. I remember visiting a quilting shop with a friend years ago; there was a group of women working on their quilts and socializing. I never thought that I would find a group like that where I could work on crocheting projects while visiting with friends, but that is exactly what the Needle Me group is all about. The group meets on the first and fourth Friday of each month at 1 pm. We love to socialize while our hands are working. If you have any questions or would like more information, contact Bobbie Davis at (951) 223-3836 or Merilyn Burnside at (323) 889-4281. The line dance group has been busy this year learning new dances and welcoming new dancers. We are looking forward to the upcoming Music on the Plaza events. It is always fun to hear the musicians playing and enjoy the pleasant evenings with our friends and neighbors. Being able to join us on the dance floor makes it even more fun. This is why we focus on learning easy dances that we can do to the great performances that we have here in Four Seasons. Line dancing isn't just for country music fans. We enjoy country music but we also dance to rock, cha-chas, motown, waltzes, latin, pop, oldies and just about any kind of music. One of the best parts of line dancing is that you don't need a partner to enjoy it. You may think that you have two left feet, but that should not stop you from joining us. Most of us feared we had no talent for dancing before we started but quickly learned that line dancing is not as hard as it looks and practice and learning the steps can really be fun. We meet Tuesdays in the Ballroom. We start with beginner and easy dances at 2 pm and move onto more difficult dances after 3 pm. Lessons are free. We would love to have you join us. Line Dance
