Games People Play Mondays are considered "fun days" by the members of our group. You are invited to join in for the games, music and the camaraderie between new and old friends. We have five games that are played simultaneously: you have a choice of Scrabble, Phase 10, Chess, Bid Whist or Dominoes. All skill levels are welcome. There are no fees or dues; however, donations are welcomed and appreciated. We meet Mondays at the North Clubhouse from 6 to 9:30 pm. Mexican Train For the month of March, we will meet in the following locations: March 4, 11 and 25, North Clubhouse Multipurpose Room; March 18, Bus Room. Please arrive between 12:45 and 12:50 pm. Ideally, we would like to have only five to six people at a table. When we meet in the Bus Room, space is limited. Bring your own domino trays if you have them. Pinochle Club We meet Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30 am to 12 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. We play double deck pinochle in tables of four and five. Winners move to another table so we get to socialize with many members. You can come late or leave early, no problem. We welcome new members, so if it has been a while since you have played or you're a beginner, we will be happy to teach you the game or refresh your skills. For more info, call Patty Michalec, President, at (530) 520-4127. Chess Club The Sun Lakes Chess Club meets Friday afternoons from 1 to 4 pm in either the Main or North Clubhouse. Our members include a wide range of player abilities ranging from beginners to masters, ladies and gentlemen, of all age ranges. The club competed in our first sanctioned USCF tournament as a club in last month in San Diego. Come join us and give this great game a try whether a beginner, a casual player, or someone interested in improving their game.
