34 | LIFE IN SOLERA | MARCH 2026 | Tennis ladies celebrated Beverly Crowe's birthday again in January. We gathered at the Sand Trap and enjoyed catching up on the details of each other's lives. Finally, we have had some warmer weather, so more tennis players have come out to play and socialize. We welcome Michael and Brenda Dewey who joined us about a month ago. ~ Shirley Ferguson, (909) 816-0612 TENNIS TITANS Our group travels far and wide playing in tournaments. Last year we had six people win at tournaments. Thelma and Herman Jamilano won a bronze on the Royal Caribbean Navigator in November 2025. Terrie Garcia and Ana Kuzara each one a silver metal in their age groups, at the Oldlympics, last fall. Chris and Martha Hubbs won a silver medal down at Soboba. So, we have high-end players and we have beginners. If you are interested in playing pickleball, at any level, come join us Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings. As soon as the sun comes up there will be somebody there playing pickleball within 15 minutes. So if you're an early riser, come join us. If you like to sleep in a little bit or need a second cup of coffee, there's usually somebody still playing between 9 and 10 am. I'd be willing to bet that if you showed up around that time, there would be plenty of people that would still wanna play. Often we end up with three people and need a fourth. So, come join us at that time. If you are interested, please call Gaby DeWitt at the number below. Pickleball promotes good health through fellowship, exercise, learning and fun. For more information about the Pickleball Paddlers, please call Gaby DeWitt at (909) 446-2704 or George Dietz at (614) 940-9506. Paddles up! Remember, no ball is worth the fall.
