| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2026 | 61 Games People Play Mondays are considered "fun days" by the members of our group. You are invited to join in for the games, music and the camaraderie between new and old friends. We have five games that are played simultaneously: you have a choice of Scrabble, Phase 10, Chess, Bid Whist or Dominoes. All skill levels are welcome. There are no fees or dues; however, donations are welcomed and appreciated. We meet Mondays at the North Clubhouse from 6 to 9:30 pm. For more info, please contact Virginia Green at (951) 255-1545 or Cynthia White- Piper at (951) 906-7510. Mexican Train This month, we meet the following dates and locations: April 1, 8, 22, and 29: North Clubhouse Multipurpose Room April 15: Main Clubhouse Bus Room Please arrive between 12:45 and 12:50 pm. Ideally, we would like to have only five to six people at a table. When we meet in the Bus Room, space is limited. Bring your own domino trays if you have them. If you would like a copy of the version played at Sun Lakes, send your request to cjdavis2504@gmail.com and one will be sent to you. For further info, call Paulie at (951) 550-2107. Pinochle Club We meet Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30 am to 12 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. We play double deck pinochle in tables of four and five. Winners move to another table so we get to socialize with many members. You can come late or leave early, no problem. We welcome new members, so if it has been a while since you have played or you're a beginner, we will be happy to teach you the game or refresh your skills. For more info, call Patty Michalec, President, at (530) 520-4127. Chess Club We meet Fridays from 1 to 4 pm in either the Main or North Clubhouse. We competed in our first USCF sanctioned tournament in San Diego and enjoyed great success. We have a number of players establishing or renewing their ratings with the federation. The club had 10 new members sign up on Activities Day and continues steady growth from beginners to more experienced players. Contact Walt Winfield at (909) 291-5494 for more information, questions, or the location of our weekly meeting.
