34 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2026 |
The Makula Hula Dancers brought a burst of island spirit to Sun
Lakes last month with their joyful performance as featured dancers
in at's Entertainment: Travel Capers 2. Their warm energy
and graceful storytelling through dance made the event truly
memorable. We're also especially proud of our own member, Tess
Coats, who not only danced beautifully but also worked tirelessly
behind the scenes as Stage Manager. Her dedication helped make
the show shine even brighter.
This talented group also performs at private gatherings, sharing
the beauty of Hawaiian culture with audiences of all kinds. For
booking details or general information, you can reach Perla
Williams at (951) 467-8339 or pearlyshellsdancer@gmail.com.
Residents interested in learning Hawaiian hula are invited to
dance with the Makula Hula Dancers every Wednesday from 10
am to 12 pm in the North Clubhouse. No prior dance experience
is needed — just a love of music, movement, and good company.
