The golfers received their trophies and checks at our February dinner. To become a part of this fun group, you just need a GHIN and a membership application. We play f lighted tournaments monthly and weekly men's and ladies closest to the pin and circle hole contest. So instead of cleaning your garage on Saturday mornings come join us on the Executive Course for a few hours of camaraderie and great golf. Walking out to the practice range or putting green before a Sun Lakes Men's Club tournament, saying hello and talking with all the guys, it really hits you, that the Men's Club has a colorful "cast of characters" that will make you laugh and smile. Everyone is laughing, joking and talking trash, and makes you realize just how diverse we are and yet how much we have in common at the same time. The sense of belonging and participation feels good. How can you resist being a part of this? It's fun! It's golf! It's laughs in the sun with friends! It's like playing golf in your own private sitcom, and making memories that you will always have. There are a lot of you Men's Club members out there who are not coming out for our events. It's your club and we want your support and participation. It's just like when you have your regular foursome, and you always show up to support "your guys." On a larger scale we want you to think of the Men's Club as "your guys" that need you to show up. Come on out and play! Support your club. Some of you may have a fear of playing in tournaments. But the interesting thing is that the more tournaments you play in the less intimidating and more fun it becomes. Always remember, that our tournaments are handicapped and f lighted so you are only competing with guys that are of the same ability and have the same "fear factor" that you have. Coming up in April some of the events that you are going to want to be a part of are: April 1: Beef and Brew event. Play in a regular golf shotgun event and then meet for lunch with hot dogs, beer, and soft drinks. April 15 and 18 (Wednesday and Saturday): Annual Member/ Member tournament. Day one is a two person scramble and day two is a best ball format. There's really no reason not to come out and join, support and participate in the Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club. It will only make you smile and laugh and want to come back for more. As the sun shines in the morning you too will walk out on the range and on the putting green and meet the colorful "cast of characters" that are your fellow club members. Men's Golf
