DOGS I've been contacted with some concerns about dog walkers recently. I wanted to share a few simple Dog Walking guidelines that would be fair to everyone in our community. 1. Please clean up after your pet. We have more than 40 stations around the community, so you'll be close when you need to have a bag. Also, please put the bags in the pet station trash can, not in the bushes or along the sidewalks. 2. Please keep your pets off the street, except when you're crossing an intersection. This is really important, especially since some drivers aren't very careful. 3. It's best to not use a 15-foot leash. A short leash gives you more control over your pet, especially if you run into a situation with another dog or a walker. 4. Please don't block the sidewalks when you're stopping to chat with another dog walker or a friend. Move to a spot where walkers can pass without having to go into the street. 5. When you're approaching other walkers, whether they have a pet or not, please hold your pet close. Remember, some people aren't comfortable around dogs. Let's be courteous to our neighbors. 6. Finally, please always keep your pet on a leash, even when you're in your own front yard. These are just a few easy things that pet owners can do to make our community a better place for everyone. BOARD ELECTION There are candidate statements in this edition of the Breeze. We will hold the Meet the Candidates Forum on Friday, April 3. Please submit any questions you would like to have asked of the candidates prior to the meeting by sending them to issues@ fourseasonsbeaumont.org. Ballots will go out by April 4 and must be returned by May 4. Also make sure that you sign the outer green envelope as well. FEBRUARY DOLLARS AND CENTS At the February Board meeting, the following projects and bids were approved. Please note in parentheses is the committee that generated the proposal and then stating either an Operational expense which comes from this year's dues, or a Reserve expense which is in effect the Association's Savings Account. • Lodge Tree Replacement: $1,325 (Landscape/Operational) • Various Tree and SOD Replacement: $4,273 (Landscape/ Operational) • Waste Management Proposal: $625/month (Management/ Operational) • Springdale FHA Renewal: $795 (Management/Operational) DAILY REPORT If you're not receiving Four Seasons Beaumont daily emails/Activities Blasts, email issues@fourseasonsbeaumont.org to have your email added to the list of recipients. Having your email on the list is especially important in order to receive warnings and updates related to emergencies in our area (example: July 2025 Wolf Fire). REMINDERS A reminder I give at each Open Session Board Meeting is to slow down. Once you are home behind the gates, speeding or not stopping at stop signs will only "save" you a few seconds of time. Speed limits are 30 mph on the Circle, 25 mph on all side streets, and 15 mph in parking lots. Slow down and drive responsibly. Also, use the sidewalks if you're a pedestrian and wear white or reflective clothing when it's dark outside. Make sure to fob-in each and every time you enter a facility. One, it's the rule, and two, team members rotate through the different facilities and the person at the desk when you return might not be the one who was there originally and saw you fob-in the first time.
