| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2026 | 9 Library Committee Let's have some fun in April learning more about your Four Seasons Library. I am taking the word APRIL and breaking it into individual letters, assigning each letter a special definition pertaining to the books in the library. Of course, each book has at least one AUTHOR. The A in APRIL is going to signify AUTHOR. Some residents only choose books to read by their favorite author. If that's you, please consider reading a book by a different author. Begin by looking at the authors' last names, perhaps beginning with the hardcover fiction books on the left side of the library or the paperback fiction books found to the right. Books are shelved in alphabetical order left to right by the author's last name. Hint — A popular author tends to have more books grouped together. The letter P is the second letter in the word APRIL. One author found on both sides of the library is James Patterson. There were 32 of his books the last time I counted the ones in Hardcover Fiction, including some duplicates. Having duplicates is another indication of the popularity of Patterson's books. There usually are duplicates among in the paperbacks, as well. It's not just our residents who like Patterson; he holds the Guinness World Record for most #1 New York Times Bestsellers with millions of books sold globally. Moving on to R, Nora Roberts, known especially as a romance novelist (my personal favorite), has authored more than 200 novels. She was the first author inducted into the Romance Writers of America Hall of Fame. She writes more suspenseful books as J.D. Robb. More than 500 million copies of her books are found around the world with some in our fiction collections. Next is the I in APRIL; there aren't too many last names starting with I. Greg Iles is another #1 New York Times Bestselling Author. There are 16 such books to his credit. Some of his novels have been made into films. He, too, has been published around the world and is known as a "Modern Master of Suspense." Last comes the L in APRIL, represented here by Shari Lapena. Again, her books are sold around the world. Our library stocks her 6th and 7th thrillers. We hope this article helps all residents become more familiar with our books and encourages everyone to come visit soon! ~ Betty Crase Four Seasons Emergency Preparedness Committee Four Seasons Hemet Emergency Preparedness Committee's aims to empower individuals to actively participate in emergency preparedness.
