24 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2026 | Line dancing is a wonderful way to stay active, meet new people, and simply let loose on the dance floor. So, grab your comfy shoes and give it a go — you never know what hidden talents you might discover! We have a vibrant line dance group here in Four Seasons. Our focus is on having fun and everyone is welcome. We start slow with beginners at 2 pm every Tuesday in the Ballroom. We learn the steps first without the music and when everyone feels ready we add the music. We can modify dances to make them easier for people with balance and mobility issues. We suggest you wear comfortable shoes, wear layers that you can take off if you get too warm and always try to bring a water bottle so you stay well hydrated. If you already have some line dance experience, we do more challenging dances right after the beginner class beginning at 3 pm on Tuesdays in the Ballroom. There are lots of benefits for seniors doing line dance. One of the best is the community connections you make. Line dancing is a social affair. You will find camaraderie and friendship. It's a chance to laugh, learn and enjoy this community. Beyond the physical benefits of staying active, line dancing offers a mental workout, too. Remembering steps, following patterns, and syncing movements to music engage the brain in a delightful dance of coordination and concentration. Dancing can elevate your mood and leave you feeling uplifted and energized. Line dancing is wonderfully inclusive, welcoming dancers of all abilities and backgrounds. Whether you're a seasoned pro or taking your first steps, there's a place for you in the line dance. Dance is not just for the body; it's for the heart, mind, and spirit, too. Studies have shown that dancing can improve cardiovascular health, balance, and flexibility while also reducing stress and anxiety. Line dancing offers a low-impact way to reap these benefits, making it the perfect choice for seniors looking to stay active and healthy. Come join us on the dance floor. We are offering Free Step Soul Line Dance Lessons every second and third Friday of the month from 4 to 6 pm at the Four Seasons Plaza Courtyard. No partners needed. Lock in FREE Step Soul Line Dance (951) 599-9643. We also have been involved in sharing our love for music by organizing musical events throughout the year. Our bulletin board in the Activity Room has our music line up for the year. We have our upcoming April's International World Health Organization Celebration.
