Mixed Media Art Classes There will be a Mixed Media Art Class plus a companion Mixed Media Open Studio starting in April 2026. The art class is a six-session structured class (February-July) while the Mixed Media Open Studio will be ongoing starting the first Monday of every month throughout the year in the Arts & Crafts Room, 10 am to 12 pm. Happy Campers RV Club Happy Campers meet the first Saturday of the month at The Lodge. We meet in the Multipurpose Room at 10 am. Our meetings are open to all residents and their friends. Several members of our group made another trip to Borrego Springs. With it's warm sunny days and cool nights this is the perfect time to visit. Borrego is known as one of the area's best spots for wild f lowers. It is a bloom with bright yellow palo verde trees, purple indigo bushes, cactus f lowers and desert sunf lowers and sand verbena. March and April is a great time for star gazing. The wide open sky and low lights cause the nights sky to just sparkle. If you haven't ventured out to Borrego Springs you haven't seen the amazing larger than life sculptures. Galleta Meadows Estate is home to 130 massive metal sculptures created by artist Ricardo Breceda. From prehistoric creatures to horses and serpents all rising from the sand. They are free to visit and make great photo stops. If you are a hiker the Borrego Palm Canyon Trail is one of the area's most popular hikes. This scenic route leads to a native palm oasis tucked inside a rocky canyon. So much to see and do so close to home. Our next trip as a group is coming up soon. April's adventure keeps us close to home. We will be doing a staycation at Lake Skinner. Looking forward to fishing, potlucks, and bean bag baseball. There is just something peaceful in the feeling you get ending the day around the campfire sharing stories with friends. Happy Campers will be going to Pismo Beach in September. If you are thinking of joining our group this would be a great trip to make. There is still plenty of time to get your reservations. You do not need to own an RV you can rent one or stay in a cabin. Thinking you may want to buy a rig of your own? We have members looking to retire. This would be a wonderful opportunity to get a rig at a great price.
