FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2026 63 Our winter season concludes this month, but not before we hold our end-of-the-winter season indoor tournament on Tuesday, May 5 at The Summit. Tournament play will take place from 10 am to 12 pm, followed by a Cinco de Mayo lunch. When we move outdoors, we will play Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays at The Courts from 10 am to 12 pm and Saturdays indoors at The Summit from 10 am to 12 pm. We are designating Saturdays specifically for developmental play focused on developing volleyball skills. If you ever thought you'd like to try water volleyball, but were intimidated by the level of competition, this is your chance to participate. There will be no spiking or blocking in developmental play and the ball we use indoors is softer than what is used outdoors. Also, The Summit pool is shallower than the one at The Courts. So, no excuses, come out and give it a go. Water volleyball is a great way to get out of the house for some low-impact exercise. Everyone is welcome. You don't need to be a member of the club to play, and all ages, heights, and skill levels can participate! We play Tuesday and Friday at 9 am at The Summit. We play on two courts overlooking the valley and the mountains. The game requires no specific skills or previous experience. If you are interested in learning the game, please join us, you will be welcomed by our Bocce Group. You can contact me at hanknegrete16@ yahoo.com or call/text to (840) 234-6494. ~ Hank Negrete Spring is here, so is Daylight Saving Time. I'd like to make some changes. We will play on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 5 to 6 pm at The Summit. Hope to see you all there to have some fun and sunshine. There is a sign-up sheet in The Lodge Lobby. Please make sure to write your number clearly. Thank you! If you have any questions, please contact Julia at (626) 227-3295. Volleyball Ladies Putters Well, Mother Nature has been at it again. Some days have been too hot and other days have been too cold. But, as spring arrives, the weather gods have promised great weather ahead. Our gals have been priming themselves for a great season and record low scores are ripe for the taking. So, if there are any gals out there who would like a little challenge in their lives, we invite you to join us and give the Ladies Putting Group a try. This is a low-impact, "high fun and very social and slightly competitive" activity and the best part is that no experience is necessary. We have extra putters and balls if you'd like to join us. Our 9-hole putting green is located at The Courts, behind the pool area. Our putting days/times are Mondays at 4 pm and Fridays at 9 am. For more information, please contact Elaine Brown at (626) 589-9791 or Phyllis Kates at (909) 227-0037. ~ Phyllis Kates Ladies Putters Elaine's scorecard looks to be of avid interest to the other lady putters
