60 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2026 Looking for a sport that's easy to pick up and hard to put down? Paddle tennis delivers. Paddle tennis continues to grow in popularity at Four Seasons because it's simple, social, and fun for all skill levels. The smaller court and softer ball create longer rallies and keep everyone involved in the action. It's the perfect way to stay active, meet neighbors, and enjoy friendly competition in a welcoming environment. Whether you're new to racquet sports or a seasoned player, paddle tennis brings energy, connection, and smiles to the court. That same energy will be on full display during our 3rd Annual Paddle Tennis Trifecta Tournament on May 16-17. With warmer weather, you can find some players on the courts around 5:30 pm most days and some players are on the courts on Thursdays at 8 am. Contact Lizzie at ecgallegos@outlook for further information. Hope to see you on the courts. ~ Lizzie Gallegos, ecgallegos@outlook.com Paddle Tennis Looking for a sport that's easy to pick up and hard to put down? Paddle tennis delivers. Fortunately, I stayed out of the prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi last month, because otherwise I would have lost my shirt with last month's Breeze article. And the last thing anyone would want is to see me without a shirt. I think that even my heart surgeon operated with his eyes closed. Despite my prognostication, we did not have the invitational event with our Sun Lakes tennis colleagues, because mutually available dates weren't agreed upon. The event is now planned for May 30, but no bets on whether it will actually occur, because stuff happens. Risking another prediction, another activity planned is the Third Annual Racket Paddle Battle trifecta on May 16 and 17. Registration was open until April 25 but it is possible that additional players can be accepted. The cost is $20 per player, and participants have to play all three sports: pickleball, paddle tennis, and tennis. Partners will be rotated and randomly assigned, and scores will be kept individually. Contact Lizzie at ecgallegos@outlook.com to sign up. Something that I can attest to having actually happened was our March 28 Play Day. The weather was beautiful and the air was relatively calm, at least for a while. We had 12 players on the courts, so everyone played each 20-minute round for the whole hour and a half of matches. In June, we will reprise our Red-Blue tournament, in a format yet to be determined, but we probably can't afford a huge trophy. So, save the date of June 27 and read your FSBTC emails for the details as we get closer to the event. Mike Olson continues to manage the recycling project, generating funding that supports the activities of the Club. Look for the email reminders about collection dates, typically every other month. Watch your Tennis Club emails to see the start times for the Saturday FUNdamental drills and helpful coaching. Regular last-Saturday-of-the-month Play Days will have sign-ins at 8:30 am and play beginning at 9 am, though the start time is subject to change in March. The Tennis Club Committee meets monthly on the last Monday at 4 pm at The Summit. Members are welcome to attend.
