Light refreshments will be provided, bring your own food if you'd like more. is month, we're spotlighting our Level 3 (advanced) dancers, a small and fun group who pick up new choreography quickly and thrive in a fast-paced class. Sunny Grin who was also President of the Line Dance Club from 2022-2024, is a steady presence at Level 3. She started to line dance right before COVID when Christine Alesiani taught the classes via Zoom. Sunny was a motivated learner recording the zoom sessions and doing the classes repeatedly by herself to learn the steps. Once classes resumed, Sunny took all three levels and found that the repeated classes helped her learn the names and moves of the steps, allowing her to improve at a rapid pace. Gloria Lipitz encourages line dancers to try Level 3 – you may be more ready than you think! Maryann Khan reminds line dancers to keep their weight on the correct foot; that will help you from turning in the wrong direction nine out of ten times. Our instructor Christine shares that Level 3 focuses less on basics and more on combining steps with advanced footwork and moving at a quicker pace. She describes the Level 3 dancers as "people who love to dance and want to challenge themselves." e increased challenge is great for both body and brain — and it's a lot of fun! All line dance club members are welcome to watch, learn, and get inspired by the Level 3 class — you might even decide you're ready to try and move up! Instead, the Board of Directors focused their eorts on planning and focusing future events that align with our club's mission and member interests. As a club dedicated to hosting lively social events featuring live bands and DJs, the Board has been working to ensure that upcoming gatherings reect the music and atmosphere our members enjoy most. Our events will continue to feature popular hits from the 1960s through the 1980s, creating a nostalgic experience tailored to our OHCC community. Planning is well underway for our upcoming "Fiesta" event on Saturday night from 5:30 to 9 pm, featuring the amazing and popular DJ Alex. is event promises to be a fun and energetic opportunity for members to connect, dance, and enjoy the music they know and love.
