| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JUNE 2026 | 21 Our PAWS April meeting was all about the kitties! We kicked off April with our first Kitten Enrichment Social. It was a huge success - thanks to Jose and Melinda of Haven Pet Center AND so many eager and talented Four Seasons residents who gathered in the Ballroom to socialize and create fabulous enrichment toys for Haven's feline adoptable residents. Jose and Melinda shine as passionate champions of Haven's Cattery – so lovingly maintained and proudly presented to visitors. Volunteers are always welcome and so appreciated there, too, with very flexible schedules – so please let us know if you're interested. PAWS hopes to host many more enrichment socials for Haven's adoptable dogs and cats. The enrichment toys and treats we produce truly MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of those sweet fur babies during their days in the kennels, while they await their second chance at a forever home. They are nice kennels, but they aren't HOME, so stay tuned for more socials. But keep reading - there's more to our April fun! We also enjoyed Let Them Be Little Feline Rescue who brought us adorable foster kittens! LTBL does so much – and our very own resident Lisa Dernbach is a major player in this benevolent organization. We appreciated that Lisa entrusted us to gently love on some of their foster baby kittens. Oh the purrrrrrrs! But still more… PAWS beamed with delight as we presented our first Recycle For Rescues donation check to Let Them Be Little. A whopping $250 was redeemed in our first three months (Jan.- March). Not bad for our first quarter. Thank you, Four Seasons – you are beautiful and please keep those recycles coming! Please join us each month for our meeting event – and we hope to enjoy special outings together too – such as a tour of Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center and Thrift Store (and Italian lunch) in Riverside – a visit to Sale Ranch Animal Sanctuary in Temecula Wine Country – and more!
