June always feels a bit brighter. The days get longer, the weather warms up, and it's the perfect time for making memories — graduations, weddings, family trips, or just quiet mornings in the sun. June also means we've reached the middle of the year. With summer starting, we enjoy more daylight and a fresh sense of energy. People born in June are said to have a special charm, so here's a shout-out to everyone celebrating a birthday this month. June is filled with special occasions to celebrate. Flag Day on Sun., June 14, sets the tone, while Juneteenth on June 19 marks the end of slavery in the United States. As the month continues, we look forward to Father's Day and the Summer Solstice, both on Sun., June 21. The longest day of the year offers extra daylight to honor our fathers and father figures — dads, get your BBQ tools ready, your time to shine and celebrate is here! Shifting to one of June's seasonal joys, our part of the world sees an abundance of fresh, vibrant summer produce, such as strawberries, cherries, peaches, and blueberries. And don't forget watermelon, a personal favorite — tasty and nostalgic. Watermelon reminds me of wonderful summer picnics, watermelon-eating contests, and juice trickling down my chin — great memories! If it's too hot to cook or you don't feel like grilling, The Bistro has plenty of options to help you enjoy summer. Start your week with the Monday Burger Special, then try Taco Tuesday. If you want something lighter, grab a tasty to-go sandwich and relax by the pool. And don't miss Francisco's Friday specials to wrap up your week. Francisco and the Bistro team are always here to help you celebrate, whether it's a wedding, birthday, graduation, or just a day that you've made special. The Bistro Committee wants to make every occasion memorable and make sure your dining needs are taken care of. Let us know your event plans or suggestions, and let's create some great memories together. Congratulations to Kathy Sitter, who was the recent winner of the coveted Sunday Brunch for Two. Paul Barr drew the winning entry at the May Bistro Committee meeting. Congratulations, Kathy! Cheers to lazy days and sunshine rays. Bon appétit! -Pita Note: The Bistro can get busy on days with specials. If you're planning a large group gathering, please call ahead to let them know. Reserving your spot or sharing feedback helps us serve you better. 10 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JUNE 2026 | Name: _____________________________________________________________________________________ Address: ___________________________________________________________________________________ Phone:_____________________________________________________________________________________ JUNE 2026 FREE SUNDAY BRUNCH FOR TWO AT THE BISTRO Not valid on holidays or special events. Limit ONE ENTRY per residence per month Bistro Committee Summer Neighborhood Outreach This June and July, the Four Seasons Emergency Preparedness Committee (EPC) is hitting the pavement for our annual Neighborhood Outreach. With California's fire and earthquake seasons always a factor, we're looking for neighbors ready to help when it counts. How You Can Help You don't need to be a "superhero" to make a difference. We need volunteers of all backgrounds for Emergency Preparedness Team roles, including: • Observers & Radio Operators • Medical & First Aid Support • Transportation & Logistics Crucial Reminder: Window Signs Please ensure your Red ("Need Help") and Green ("Okay") window signs are easy to find. These are our primary way of checking on residents during an emergency. Look for us during our outreach events to volunteer or get more information. You can also go to our website listed below. Whatever your skill level, we have a place for you! Check us out at FSHCERT.WIXSITE. COM/CERTSITE Emergency Preparedness
