| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JUNE 2026 | 23 June. Can you believe it? We are halfway through the year. June is the beginning of the summer, offering us the longest daylight hours. What does that mean for the Golden Girls Ladies Club? More fun activities. Our Ladies are very active. Ideas and events are always f lowing. As we grow each month (five new members in the month of April). New ideas are introduced with much enthusiasm to try something new. Some of our past month activities were: The play Rainmaker at Ramona Hills, pontoon ride on the lake with a bag lunch; it was so much fun trying out driving the boat. Attended the Assistance League Fashion Show and Luncheon, and of course our monthly Fun Friday held the second Friday of the month in the card room at 1 pm. On May 17 we saw Rocky Mountain High -John Denver Tribute (That's the kind of fun we have), and on May 21 was Laughter Yoga organized by Deddie Foster. When was the last time you laughed so hard? We all went to lunch and the movies in Temecula to see e Devil Wears Prada 2. On June 7 we will see the play Once Upon a Mattress in Old Town Temecula. Wilson Creek will be our next adventure. Please join our club and have some fun with us. As a Club we also participate in two different philanthropic, well-needed, non-profit organizations. One such organization is called "REACH." It's a women's shelter for battered women and children. We will be touring the shelter in May to better understand their needs so we can provide the most respectful and essential support. We should still have a few cool days to finish washing and waxing the rigs and getting ready for those long summer trips. If those high gas prices have you down, have no fear. We have found some great places to camp close by. We had a wonderful time at Lake Skinner. The spaces were large with nice trees for shade. We backed up to grass which was nice for the dogs and cut down on the dust. Camping Sunday to Friday meant less crowds and quieter evenings. We had 11 rigs and 21 people. Ray and Velma outdid themselves and set the bar pretty high for future Wagon Masters. They set up canopies over the tables protecting us from rain and sun. They hosted a great Smash Burger potluck. All the food was so good. We even had a breakfast potluck. In total we had four potlucks. Ray and Velma also hosted many games RLC, Poker, Swipe, Pegs and Jokers, and a roaring game of Name that Show, complete with prizes. We played many games of Bean Bag Baseball my favorite was when the ladies beat the men. We had perfect kite f lying weather and managed to get two kites in the air. With two fire pits going at night everyone was cozy and warm. It was a great week. We are going to Prado Regional Park in June and Pismo Beach in September. If you are looking for fun adventures, good friends and great food come and hook up with the Happy Campers. We meet the first Saturday of the month at 10 am.
