Iverson was born on April 23, 1930, in Waseca, Minnesota, to Luther and Irma Barry. She passed away at her home on March 13, 2026. Audrey attended Central High School, graduating in 1948. During her school years, Audrey was well-liked and active in many school groups and was even honored as homecoming queen. Following high school, she attended Mankato State College in Mankato, Minnesota. On a blind date she met Donald Gross of St. James, Minnesota. The couple married on September 13, 1950, in a ceremony officiated by a justice of the peace. Tragically, their marriage was short-lived. Donald, a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, was called to active duty in November 1950 during the Korean War and was killed in action on April 8, 1951. Audrey always spoke of Don as one of the finest people she had ever known. Audrey worked for several years at the American Yearbook Company in Owatonna, Minnesota. On December 21, 1952, she married Harry Iverson. In 1953, the couple moved to California. They settled in Fontana, residing there for 31 years, raising three sons and building a life together that spanned five decades of marriage. Audrey worked as a Real Property Appraiser for the San Bernardino County Assessor's Office from 1971 until her retirement in 1988. She was involved in the PTA, the Fontana Women's Club, and various social groups. Audrey and Harry moved to the Swan Lake community in Mira Loma, CA, where they lived for 10 years. Audrey served on the community board and formed many lasting friendships. Later, she moved to the Mountain Shadows community in Highland, CA. There, she met her companion, Ray Kinney, with whom she shared over 20 years. Since 2020, Audrey and Ray have resided at Sun Lakes. Wherever she lived, Audrey became involved in her community, joining social groups and keeping an active and vibrant life. She was a longtime member of the Red Hat Society, Lions Club, and the Order of the Eastern Star, which she joined in 1949. She enjoyed cards, bunco, traveling, social events, and cruising. Audrey is survived by her fiancé, Ray Kinney; her three sons: Jim (Barbara) , Jon (Anita), and Robert (Holly); her brother, George Berry; her grandchildren James, Rebecka, Erin, Michelle, Nathan, Katie, and Lauren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Lambert; and her former spouses, Donald Gross and Harry Iverson.
