FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2026 51 What happened to all of our travelers? Over the past six months, we've only had a couple of truly successful trips, and we'd love to see more of you joining us on our adventures. This month, we're excited to offer one of our most popular outings: the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach. This year's theme is "The Greatest of All Time" and it promises to be another unforgettable experience. We hope you don't miss this spectacular event! Looking ahead, our next trip is a special three-day, two-night excursion to San Simeon, scheduled for Dec. 7–9. We'll depart from The Lodge aboard our comfortable motor coach and travel up the coast, making stops at several interesting destinations along the way, including the charming Danish village of Solvang. Upon arrival, we'll check into our hotel and have some time to relax for the night. The next day, it's off to Hearst Castle for the fascinating Dream Tour. Our adventure will also include a visit to Elephant Seal Beach, where we'll have the opportunity to observe these remarkable animals in their natural habitat. Later, we'll travel to Cambria to experience the magical Cambria Christmas Market. You'll have time to explore the festive displays, shop for unique gifts, and enjoy dinner at one of the area's many excellent restaurants. After a full day of sightseeing and holiday cheer, we'll return to our hotel for a restful night's sleep before beginning our journey home the following day. Does this sound like a trip you'd enjoy? If so, be sure to save the dates: Dec. 7–9. For more info, call Joni at (661) 390-5512 today and get your name on the list! As always our meetings are held the third Saturday of each month in The Lodge Ballroom and you may bring a friend. We have guest speakers each month and they have offer some wonderful trips. ~ Joni Truelsen Travel Group Seasoned Singles May was full of on-site and off-site activities for the Singles. One of the activities we enjoyed was the long-awaited tour of the historic Watts Towers of Simon Rodia in Los Angeles — it did not disappoint. There were a number of Singles members who weren't able to go so we may schedule another trip out there in the future. Another eagerly-anticipated event was a tour of the Guide Dogs of the Desert training facility in Whitewater. This non-profit trains standard poodles and Labradors as guide dogs for the visually impaired. A small number of Singles also enjoyed another wonderful Chamber Concert performed by the principal musicians of the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra at Valley College in San Bernardino. A fun birthday lunch at Los Vaqueros Cantina & Grill and a wonderful Memorial Day potluck at The Summit rounded out our activities for the merry month of May. If these sound like something you'd enjoy and you're a single resident of Four Seasons, we'd love to have you join us at one of our future meetings. We meet on the first Friday of the month at 6 pm in the RCN. For more information, please contact Sue Torkington at (860) 712- 3430. ~ Phyllis Kates We visited the Watts Towers of Simon Rodia e Singles celebrated Sue Barker's birthday at Los Vaqueros in Hemet We toured the Guide Dogs of the Desert training facility in nearby Whitewater and everyone got their puppy x
