FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2026 15
Recently, we asked our FirstService Management team about the Automated
External Defibrillator, known as AEDs, located throughout the facilities at
Four Seasons Beaumont. We asked where they are located, how often they are
checked, and just a little bit more about them. Here is what they had to say.
There are 11 AEDs in total spread between The Lodge, The Courts, and
The Summit. Seven are at The Lodge (Lobby, Ballroom, spa building lobby,
pool, paddle tennis court, pickleball court, and the RCN). Three are at The
Courts (Lobby, tennis pergola, and pool.) The last one is at The Summit located
on the back patio. The AEDs are checked every morning by opening Lodge
Attendants and tested by the maintenance team during the first week of every
month. The AEDs also will blink with a green light indicating they are working
properly. The AEDs are reusable; however, the batteries and the pads are one-
time-use items that are replaceable. The batteries lose charge over years, and
the pads have a water-based adhesive that may dry out. Maintenance tries to
replace them by their expiration date but as we only purchase official Philips
HeartStart replacement items from official sellers, we are not always able to get
them on time either due to shipping challenges or supply issues. If you have
any concerns or wish to report an issue with one of the AEDs or wish to know
more info about them, please contact the Facilities Administrator, Brandon
Arner, at the Management Office. ~ Regina Farmer
