SCAMS Scammers are getting more savvy in how they call people and swindle you out of your hard earned money. Don't fall prey to them. If they claim they are a family member or with a family member in trouble, hang up and call that family member correctly. Here are a couple of other online resources to help be informed on scams and how to avoid them: https://www.aarp.org/money/scams-fraud/ https://scamspotter.org/ https://dfpi.ca.gov/consumers/fraud-protection/ FOB REPLACEMENT The fobs that are used when owners enter the facilities and open the pool gates are 20 years old. The manufacturer is now out of business and replacement fobs cannot be purchased nor can we repair readers that are broken or damaged, of which we have two right now. As of the date of writing this article, we don't have an install date yet. Please check the website (https://www. fourseasonsbeaumont.org/maintenance-updates/)for updates on the change out of the system. We will also have updates on the Daily Report. The Board approved to get a new fob system at the May meeting and at the time of this writing we are still waiting to install that . We will have new fobs for people and also the ability to use your phone at the different facilities. Once we are in the midst of the install and we have more details on things, we'll update the website and the Daily Report. The website to check for this is https://www.fourseasonsbeaumont. org/maintenance-updates/ MAY DOLLARS AND CENTS At the May Board meeting, the following projects and bids were approved. Please note in parentheses is the Committee that generated the proposal and then stating either an Operational expense which comes from this year's dues, or a Reserve expense. • Fob Replacement- $42,000 (Management/Reserves) DAILY REPORT If you're not receiving Four Seasons Beaumont daily emails/Activities Blasts, email issues@fourseasonsbeaumont.org to have your email added to the list of recipients. Having your email on the list is especially important in order to receive warnings and updates related to emergencies in our area (example: July 2025 Wolf Fire). REMINDERS A reminder I give at each Open Session Board Meeting is to slow down. Once you are home behind the gates, speeding or not stopping at stop signs will only "save" you a few seconds of time. Speed limits are 30 mph on the Circle, 25 mph on all side streets, and 15 mph in parking lots. Slow down and drive responsibly. Also, use the sidewalks if you're a pedestrian and wear white or reflective clothing when it's dark outside. Make sure to fob-in each and every time you enter a facility. One, it's the rule, and two, team members rotate through the different facilities and the person at the desk when you return might not be the one who was there originally and saw you fob-in the first time.
