FOUR SEASONS TERRA LAGO ROADRUNNER | AUGUST 2026 7
Did you miss it?
By Leslie Hartje, Cooking Class Lead
On June 27, the cooking class and the hula
dance class sponsored a Hawaiian Luau. e
event was a sell-out! e attendees found the
Aloha spirit and celebrated the Hawaiian Islands
with food, drink, dance and fun.
Catering was provided by ONO Hawaiian
BBQ which included teriyaki chicken, Hawaiian
BBQ beef and island white sh. Sides included
white rice, macaroni salad and crab Rangoon.
A variety of homemade Hawaiian desserts were
provided by the cooking class and the hula dance
class. Mai Tai and pina colada mocktails were
served, and some people chose to add a little rum
to make them cocktails.
D.J. Gyu Wise played island music during
dinner, then played music to dance by for the
rest of the evening. e Hula Dance Class did
a special performance to "Lovely Hula Hands,"
then the audience showed their best island moves
to "Hawaiian Roller-coaster Ride." Also, a prize
was given for the person who could swing a hula-
hoop the longest, and prizes were handed out to
each table for the person who was "most like a
pineapple."
Rae tickets were drawn throughout the
evening for fantastic prizes, such as Hawaiian gi
baskets and fresh orchid ower plants.
Everyone who attended had a great time and
look forward to the next event.
