SOLERA SIPPERS
Our pictures this month are from our June Bocce Ball tournament of our winners
and some of the spectators. We had 14 teams and about 85 people to either play and/
or just watch. Dale Tacos was there to provide burgers and their great fries. Our
winners this year were Sylvia and Richard Southard. The final game was watched
by the largest number of people I can remember to see who wins. There was a lot of
back and forth on the scoring to get the winners.
Our July event was a Luau with lots of Hawaiian music and a couple of contests.
This was also our first sold out event of the year. Glenn Bradd and Bob Martus
along with their committee did a great job putting this program together. More on
it next month along with some pictures.
This month it's time for Name That ? on Aug. 15. It could be a song title, artist, or
maybe what movie it is from. Each table will be a team. The f lier should already be
out. If you missed it check with Gary Stoh or myself.
Another Progressive Wine Tasting will be here on Sept. 12. Again we will be
doing the house to house to house for the tasting and food. Like last year we will
not have to move our cars when we change houses. All three houses are very close
together. Mark your calendar for September!
October is Halloween time on Oct. 10. How creative can you get? You know
you're getting older when "going out for drinks" means standing in the kitchen,
staring at the bottle, and saying, "We'll just have one … generous … glass." ~
