We're setting up cabaret seating for your evening's enjoyment so, bring a little something to nosh and sip, join us and prepare to laugh. This performance is free to members and $10 for non-members. If you pay $15 for annual membership, all shows in 2026 are included. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Oct. 5 - The Carlsbad Chinese American Club is coming to entertain us with traditional music, dance and song. Oct. 23 and 24 - "The Music Man." Ocean Hills' own, Courtney Simson, will be directing this Tony award-winning musical, which will showcase an all-star cast of Ocean Hills Country Club residents. This version is one-hour long. That means we are only a month away from starting rehearsing for our Holiday Concert on Dec. 6. Rehearsals start on Sept. 10. That first day of rehearsals is always a lot of fun, seeing what musical delights our director has cooked up for us to start learning. It would seem that three months of rehearsals is more than sufficient time to rehearse but, with the challenging music we present at our concerts, it sometimes seems like it is too short of a time. That's why the first rehearsal is so interesting. What has Beverly Taylor, our director, dreamed up? The Choral Society continues to grow. Every year we add new singers and are happy to welcome them. There are no auditions required. If you like to sing and think that it might be for you, consider coming to one of our rehearsals and take a listen. We are a very friendly group and always like newcomers to join us. We practice on Thursday mornings from 10:15 until 12 pm. Singing brings great joy to your heart and seems to make your troubles disappear, especially when you are in a group.
