FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2026 65 Quilting Enthusiasts Mark your calendars! The Quilting Enthusiasts Quilt Show is Sept. 13, from 10 am to 2 pm. The Bistro will be open that day from 8 am to 2 pm. Bring your friends, enjoy breakfast, brunch, or lunch, and then head over to the Ballroom to admire the stunning quilts on display. Don't miss the "free" table, the Fabric for sale table ($$), and the "scrap salad" table. And don't forget the opportunity quilt! Tickets are $1 or six for $5, and you don't need to be there to win — just provide your name and phone number. We're also inviting residents of Four Seasons to share any quilts they have in their family, perhaps ones made by their grandmother, mother, or sister. You don't need to be a member to display your quilt. Entry forms are available at the front desk. We'd love to see what your family has created over the years. There are some fascinating stories about quilts in families and the journeys they've taken. Please feel free to share them; they will be handled with care and love. We've been asked what we're raising money for. Here's a quick list: batting, thread, backing fabric, and sometimes supplies. In October, our ladies will be working on a new project for a very deserving charity called "Military Showers for Hero's Babies." You'll find more details about this project in the October Breeze, and anyone can contribute. Just so you know, we continue to support various charities, and this is one of them. Keep an eye out for more information about the different organizations we help. Just a heads-up that our Sit-N-Sew is now happening every THIRD Thursday of the month! We'll be meeting from 9 am to 4:30 or 5 pm in Arts & Crafts Room #2. We'd love for everyone to join us! Whether it's spending time by the pool or simply relaxing with family and friends, summer reminds us to slow down and appreciate the beauty around us. Crafting is another great way to celebrate the season. Beautiful flowers, colorful sunrises and sunsets, or inspired by God's creation, its beauty is also handmade creations. As our craft group gathers together, we share not only our creativity but also friendship, encouragement, and joy. Let's enjoy creating, laughing, and making lasting memories together. Happy summer!
