We had human spectators and even a few dogs came to watch. After three sets of nine games our top winners were Luann Castillo and Bruce Ray. Congratulations! I would like to invite any woman who plays sports to the Racquet Club's Women's Social Luncheon on the second Wednesday of each month from 11:30 am to around 1 pm or so. It is potluck so bring an hor d'oeuvre, main dish or a dessert and come join us for some fun social time and meet new friends. You may also bring your own libation if you so desire, otherwise, we have water, ice and usually iced tea or lemonade available. We will be having a dinner Sept. 12 in the Auditorium. More information will be forthcoming. First of all, our prayers and thoughts go out to Tony Johnson and his family. His wife, Thea, passed away in June. She will be missed. Our Winter League starts Sept. 4. Teams will be forming in late August. Please contact our secretary Beverly Patten, as she will be putting the teams together. Everyone will be notified of the league meeting. Her contact number is 949-338-5539. Our summer league started June 4 and ended on July 23, with our sweeps occurring on June 30. I will announce our winners in the September issue.
