FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2026 9 Activities Dect's Rept By Cindy Graves October is the perfect time to check out our amazing resident Photographers Gallery Showing in The Lodge Lobby from Oct. 6 to 11. You'll be glad you took a few extra minutes to admire the incredible images. Jazz Under the Stars is back again on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7 pm. It will showcase the Corney Mims Band. This band plays a variety of Jazz, R&B, and Motown music. This is a dance concert on the Loggia, so bring your dancing shoes. There is no fee for admittance and you are welcome to bring your food and favorite beverages. The Fall Craft Boutique is Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 am to 2 pm. Bring your money, your gift list, and your curiosity. If you've ever attended one of our Craft Boutiques before, you know how fun they are (especially the free door prize opportunities)! I love being able to buy unique holiday gifts for all of my family in one place. The Senior Olympics Award Ceremony will take place in The Lodge Ballroom on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 1 pm. Please come and cheer for your athletic neighbors as they get recognized for their personal and team sports accomplishments. Light refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome. Join the Westbrooks for the Free Latin Beats and More on October 23, 5:30 pm starting with the Latin Dances Review for a night of dancing from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Ballroom. Dress up in your hottest Latin fashion or just enjoy the music. Are you a deal hunter? Do you love finding treasures that you can't find anywhere else? Well, the HOA Garage Sale is on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 8 am to 2 pm. This is one of those times that the public is allowed into the community to find great bargains. If you would like to sell some of your treasures, you can pick up your Garage Sale Permits anytime until Monday, Oct. 19 so we have time to get your home on the community garage sale map we hand out to shoppers. The price is only $7 and includes advertising and promotion. That same day, Oct. 24, is "Scaryoke" with KJ Karen. The Ballroom will be dressed in its spookiest decorations which will provide just the ambiance you need for that wobble in your vocals for the holiday. Bring your favorite songs, snacks, and drinks and dress up in costume. It's going to be a fun night full of tricks and treats starting at 5 pm. This year we're having an Oktoberfest on Friday, Oct. 30 on The Lodge Loggia. We are hoping that we can put on a mini-farmer's market with residents selling their own f lowers, plants, produce, and baked goods starting at 4 pm. (If you are interested in participating in selling in the farmer's market, let me know. We are being very selective as to what we're selling — mainly food and f lowers.) We will also have the Craft Lounge setting up a little Beer Garden to add to the fun. The popular band MLC will be our dance band that night, starting at 5:30 pm. Come on down and join the celebration! Speaking of celebrations, even our adorable pets get to dress up and be part of the "Howl-o-ween Pet Parade" on Oct. 31 at 9 am. There are great prizes, so definitely bring FiFi and Rover over to the outside of the Admin building in costume. We're going to get some great pictures and hopefully you'll win the big prizes. That same night at 6:30 pm, Fear Seasons presents our scary Golf Cart Parade. This is a great parade to adorn your carts with lights, since it most likely will be a dark and non-stormy night (fingers crossed). Feel free to trick or treat with each other: candy, shots, treats of all kinds. The line-up will start at 6 pm in front of The Lodge, judging for prizes and notoriety starts at 6:15 pm, and the parade leaves at 6:30 pm. What a great way to end the month!
