36 | LIFE IN SOLERA | OCTOBER 2026 | QUILTERS October is Craft Fair month. In previous years, the Solera Quilters have sold raff le tickets for a chance to win a quilt made by our members. The proceeds have gone to the Support Our Troops effort run by Jesse Donardt. Previous years have garnered over $300 each time to help with the mailing of packages to our military around the world. This October, we will again be selling raff le tickets to win our beautiful creations. Not only this, but we will have a table at the entrance selling small items made by our members. These include tissue holders, eye glass cases, gift card holders, pot holders, zipper bags for small purse items, and lots of other goodies. Well priced, and well worth it! Some are pictured here, but there's much more. Please stop by and look at these handmade items whose sales will also benefit the Support Our Troops cause. They are made with love by members of your Solera community quilters, and will benefit not only you, but our military as well. We thank you for your support. Look at these cute crocheted Christmas ornaments from our newest member, Linda U. Linda will be participating for the first time in Solera's Craft Fair in October. Come check out her booth and you might find a new handmade one of a kind ornament for your Christmas tree this year. Caryl K will also be participating in the craft fair and parting with some of her knitted scarves as well as quilted items.
